The UK newspaper, The Guardian, published an article on November 5th detailing how higher education in the UK may be affected by the new Obama administration in Washington. After benefiting the past eight years from the tightened US Visa restrictions and negative perceptions in many countries, the US is poised to increase it’s strong position in the competitive market.
I agree that a negative perception has existed of the USA and Obama’s international background and message thus far will make the USA a more attractive place for prospective international students. It would be interesting to hear from schools in both the USA and the UK on their thoughts on this topic!
